What's involved?

The PADI Open Water course is divided into modules and consist of five academic sessions - video and lecture, shallow water sessions in our training pool, and four open water dives in the ocean. Once completed you will be certified to dive to a depth of 18 meters. This is an internationally recognized credential and is your ticket to the diving world.
Junior Open Water Divers 10-15 years, if you are between 10-12 years old You will be certified to dive to a depth of 12 m.

How long will it take?

Between three and four days. Because the course is performance based, you will have plenty of time to practice in the pool and in the open water prior to certification.

Day 1 :       15:00-17:00
                   Registration and Video

Day 2 :       09:00-17:00
                   Classroom – Academics (there will be a lunch break)

 Day 3 :      08:00-11:30
                   Swimming Pool – skills training
                   13:10-17:30
                   Ocean Dive 1 and 2 max 12 meters

 Day 4 :      07:40-12:30
                   Ocean Dive 3 and 4 max 18 meters
                   Certification and log book back at dive shop

 



Requirements?

Be at least 10 years old and be able to swim.

What next?

After completing the OWD, you may also want to continue your dive education with an Advanced Open Water Diver or Specialty Diver course to allow you to explore more dive opportunities.
